There were several Methodist Chapels in Brighouse during the 1890s.

The Methodist Chapel (New Connexion) fronted onto Bethel Streetand had a seating capacity of 750. There was a Sunday School to the rear of the chapel on the north side of Back Bethel Street.

A larger Methodist Chapel is further east on Bethel Street at the corner with Hall Street.
