NOEL WILSON

Father: Robert Henry (Roy) Wilson born January 19, 1893 in Thirsk, Yorkshire England.

Mother: Meta Irene Millicent Graham, born April 1, 1889 in Belfast Ireland.

Married December 5, 1923 in Prince Albert.

Robert Henry Noel (Noel) born October 22, 1924 in Prince Albert. Family lived in the Rayside district.

Noel joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, July 1943 at the age of eighteen, training in Edmonton and then at Abbotsford, BC. He graduated from Vulran, Alberta S.F.T.S.T with his wings and a commission – Pilot Officer in October 1944, aged twenty.

In 1945 he was employed by the Meteorological Office, Prince Albert as Officer-in-Charge for seven years. He was a salesman for Eagle’s Stationery the summer of 1952. Noel moved to Calgary in the fall of 1952- employed by Wilson’s Stationery for four years and Keith Stationery for ten years. Noel and three partners bought out Calgary Stationery in 1966, at an ideal time (Calgary was booming). Noel retired in September 1980 selling out his share in the company.

Noel married Geraldine (Gerry) McDougall on August 14, 1954 in Calgary.
