From Our Harvest of Memories
Private William Waller was born July 20,1907, and died June 15, 2003. He was a mechanic and owned and operated the Marchant Grove garage with his wife May (Bloom) for over twenty-five years. For part of the time his nephew Wayne Person worked for him. It was not only a place of business but a spot to visit with neighbors and catch up on the local news. Bill was an honest friendly man. Lots of the neighborhood kids wanted to go along with their Dads as Bill always had a treat for them. Bill and May retired to Canwood and then later to Shellbrook.
