My dad’s name was Hubert Ernest Roode and he was born March 19,1916 in Saskatchewan. He had numerous siblings, about 7.He lost his father (Joseph) in an accident as young boy, after which his mother remarried. This is why his brother Lloyd has Graham as a last name.

After the war, he was married to Dagney Kronquest, and had the first four of us, three daughters and a son. He worked at whatever jobs he could, from building to working with horses, even a try at a farmer’s hand, known as a "jack of all trades”. He eventually divorced his first wife, and headed to High Prairie, Alberta. He remarried, to Inga Hendrickson, doing the same for work. The other eight of us were born, five daughters and three sons. He lived his life out in High Prairie, and died February 4th,1990.
