’Ralph worked for mother’s uncle at Unity, Saskatchewan, for a time, later joining the RCAF. After his basic training he married Wilma Leslie from Saskatoon. He was shortly sent over to India where he served as Flying Officer with the forces until his untimely death. His plane crashed in Burma in June 1945, about one month before he was to come home’

From Our Harvest of Memories

F/O Ralph G H Fisher - RCAF Born 1913, Swanson, Sask. Died June 12, 1945. Before the war he worked on his uncle’s farm at Unity, Sask. He married before going overseas, they had no children. Ralph is buried at Htaukkyant, Burma where he died.

Ralph flew as a navigator and was killed whilst on a mission in Burma 12th June 1942. His grave is marked in the war cemetery at Taukkyan, Burma.
