Eustace “Jack” Holdstock was born in London, England on April 19, 1906. He emigrated to Canada in June 1923 to live with his sister, Annie Haley, in Hudson Bay Junction, Saskatchewan.
Worked as a farm hand.
Married Elsie Susannah Beckett on October 18, 1934 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. They had three children -
Oliver George born March 7, 1935
Anne Elizabeth born July 9, 1937 and
Elaine Gwendolyn born May 31, 1940.
Jack joined the Regina Rifles, Royal Canadian Army, in June 1940 and served in Canada at Debert, Nova Scotia until 1944.
He worked in the post office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan until he moved to Bowmanville, Ontario in 1956 where he was the head custodian at Bowmanville High School until retiring in 1972.
He moved to Oshawa, Ontario.
Died December 8, 1996.
