HARRIET BETTS

Harriett B ? was born in1873 in Nova Scotia, Canada. She married Frederick Edward Betts (b 22 October 1876 in Acadia Mines, Colchester, Nova Scotia).

We have been unable to trace her origins.

Frederick Edward Betts was the son of James Wilson Betts & Sarah Morrison.

In 1911, Fred was living at #506 Thompson Cambers, 129 11th St, Saskatoon and working as an accountant.; a profession he practised for several years. We know that by 1916 he was married to Harriett and had moved to 206 2nd Ave. The following year they moved to #31 Willoughby Building and Fred employed at least one other accountant.

In 1920 Fred and Harriett lived at #608 and Fred had his business at #26 Willoughby Building.

Between 1924 & 1926 Fred was VP & Assistant General Manager of the Derby Motor Company, an ill-fated and short-lived enterprise - see Wikipedia

Fred resumed his career as an accountant for a few more years 1935-39 living at #15 Kempthorne Block, 157 2nd Ave S, Saskatoon.

No further references have been found for Harriett and Fred.
